I have no words

I am in shock, I think. I can't believe that the J-House as I knew and loved it is no more. Even though no one was hurt (thank goodness) I still feel this huge sense of loss. This was more than a building. It was one of the warmest communities I encountered at W&M. The first place to feel like home. I mean, after living there for three years, it *was* home. Please, all of you J-House tachi, let me know if there's anything I can do. Especially anime-wise, I am more than willing to donate DVD's, models, plushies, manga. You name it. I am so grateful there were no injuries. *hugs*

That's what the school has set-up. And for any that read the comments here other than Meg, it looks to me as if the fire was above the third floor and the stuff on the third floor is merely buried under pieces of ceiling [ok, the entire ceiling] and water damaged. DVDs and hard drives have probably survived if they ever make any attempt to recover them [I would hope that they would try for the hard drives/CPUs at least]

I felt sick when I read about it. Still do, as a matter of fact.

*hugs* I know just what you mean, my dear. I couldn't stomach eating dinner till about 9:45. I also had the biggest urge to have all the J-House alums gathered in a huge group hug...But I live alone, and in Charlottesville, no less.

I woke up at 9:30 AM, read about it, and then ate breakfast at 7:30 PM. The sense of loss was really eating at me.
